Tea Party

Margarita and Rick had an intimate wedding ceremony at the Baron's Tea House in Crestview (thebaronsteahouse.com), followed by a delicious tea party... yes, I did taste just about everything... my favorite was the blueberry scone :o) I could tell how much the couple were in love and I am very excited for them.

Pumpkin Patch

I love October! It is definitely my favorite month. I get into a baking mood (which is rare) and I want to go walking early in the morning when it is nice and crisp outside... although I am walking pretty slow these days - little Sawyer is still not here and I have to admit that I am starting to get a little impatient. We went to the pumpkin patch in Niceville last week and Riley just thought that the pumpkins were great... she kept trying to eat the stems. Little Ellie, my neice, and her mommy were there too... maybe next year she wont be so sleepy :o)

Brown Family Photos

This weekend I had the pleasure of taking photos of the Brown family. They have two little boys who are very sweet and full of energy! I had fun capturing this side of them and got a little glimpse of my future with little Sawyer... I think it will involve a lot of running around and non stop playing :o)

Sawyer's Room

Yeah! Its finally finished... with 2 weeks to spare :o) Sawyer's nursery was definitely a group effort - TK painted the walls and Granny did an amazing job sewing the bed skirt and curtains (the skirt that came with the set looked WAY to feminine for my little guy). Scotty hung all of the shelves (except for the one above the changing table - I hung that one - I think it is the only off centered thing in the room), and made a shopping trip to Hobby Lobby all by himself. He actually picked out the picture frames, little planes, and the shelves. So, now we are ready to have a baby! Well, at least the room is ready...

Ridgeway Family

Before heading to England, the Ridgeways wanted to get some family photos with their new sweet little one, Judah. He is such a content little guy! The weather has been so amazing the last couple of days - it was the first shoot I've done in a long time that I did not feel like I was dying from the heat :o)

The Griffing Family

Today I took some photos of the Griffing family at the armament museum. They chose this location because it is their little one's favorite place - it worked out great! He did such a great job smiling for the photos and then in between shots he visited all of his favorite planes and helicopters. Lots of fun!!

Baby Sawyer

We are so excited that it is almost time for baby Sawyer to be here! I do not feel nearly as prepared as I did for the arrival of Riley but I've got most of his room ready - I'll have to post photos once it is done. Scotty wanted me to decorate with Boise State stuff (fortunately we could not find any BSU baby decor) so we settled on airplanes. Scotty put up his first chair railing and I painted clouds on the wall (we both had to google 'how to' for those projects) and so far its surprisingly looking good. Riley is using my belly for a chair these days - she as no idea what's coming... she is very used to being the center of attention around here.

We've finished our last wedding until after delivery!! It will be nice to have a little break. Besides, I don't think I'm moving fast enough any more to capture all that I like to - and sometimes the angle of the shot that I want requires me to take all kinds of positions that I am totally incapable of right now (well, I would probably try and then embarrass myself). Anyway, I've posted a few shots of my sweet girl and my huge belly - quite a combination...

What a wonderful wedding! From the moment I stepped into Becca's grandmother's house, I felt right at home. Becca and her family were so relaxed as she finished getting ready...if it weren't for all of the wedding attire, you would just have thought that they were all just hanging out together for the weekend. I think Heather had to be one of the most beautiful and organized brides that I have ever photographed - it was awesome! Heather and TJ got married on the pool deck at the Two Trees Resort in Destin - a great location - there were some fun places to shoot both inside and outside. Matt and Amy Engaged!

I had tons of fun with Matt and Amy! It was extremely humid outside but we still had a great time... well I did, anyway... and after looking through the photos, I'd say they did too. We met up in downtown Pcola - I love the variety of locations there - all within one block... which the more pregnant I get, the more I appreciate.

Taylor and Angel's Wedding Sneak Peak

Due to a two year engagement, Taylor was able to put so much thought into every detail of this wedding - I absolutely loved it... she had cootie catchers with interesting facts about their relationship, a small engagement photo at the bottom of each individual box of guest chocolates, and even dancing flip flops in a basket available to all of the guests. I hope the very best for these two - they were so much fun to work with!

Paul & Esther's Wedding

I'm so thankful that everything is in bloom! April 10th was an absolutely beautiful day to get married! Esther looked stunning - I was so excited when I saw that she had decided to wear her hair down - I love her curls - they are basically perfect.

It was the first time I had shot a wedding at Rocky - unfortunately, all of the azaleas were in direct sun when we were shooting the couple. So, we headed next door to the cemetery for some shady pictures that turned out great! I didn't even have to photoshop out any tombstones... which was a relief.

Just like the weather and Esther's curls, the whole day was pretty perfect.

Congrats Paul and Esther (a.k.a. polyesther) - I am so excited for you guys! I have known Esther for about 10 years and Paul for half of that. They are such a neat couple and I am so thankful that the Lord has brought them together! Last weekend we took some engagement photos at the park and then ran to the beach to catch the sunset (I was literally running). We got lots of great shots! Can't wait for the wedding!

Road trip!

Three babies under the age of 1 year are not usually a part of the equation of a fabulous road trip. But we like to live a little on the wild side (the definition of 'wild' changes a bit with motherhood), so my girlfriends and I loaded them up in the middle seat of the SUV and headed to Jacksonville. 'Well behaved' is all relative, but what baby can resist the charms of a glow worm puppet show to a Baby Einstein CD? Which, by the way, must have ran at least 10 times... I must be smarter now, right?

Jacksonville is definitely infant friendly. There are parks, a zoo, and Wal-Mart... what more could you want?.. Especially a zoo with flamingos! They were about the only animal the little pea showed interest in... probably because they are pink. But even the flamingos had nothing on the sweet potato puffs.

Anyway, What a great time of encouragement from all of my girls! What a blessing from the Lord!

New Year

I'm not much of a New Year's resolution kind of a girl. Just ask Scotty... he would tell you that I had a Cherry Dr. Pepper on January 3rd... and just about one (or two) every day since. Oh well, there's always next year, right?
So, my decision to commit to blogging all of our 2010 photography adventures is not a resolution... really :o) By the way, if the link to this blog disappears in a month you will know why.

Anyway, the Lord richly blessed us in 2009 - First, we were able to work with some incredible brides and grooms! Also, the BSU Broncos rocked! Go Big Blue! And (I saved the best for last), our bundle of joy, Riley Nichole was born July 22, 2009... who I might in the future refer to as "little pea". Thanks to all for al for such a great year! I will post a few photos below...
